July, 2008 To my fellow collectors: Here is the July, 2008 train list for your consideration. This month, most of the additions are from my collection of Marx accessories. I have added a little S-gauge material as well as a few pieces of standard gauge and some O-gauge American Flyer. One of my consignors has sent me a few interesting pieces of Marx. As always, there are some odd and unusual items and projects added for your consideration as well. The listing is very large, so look it over carefully! We are beginning our 12th year on the Internet and want you as our customers! I will consider reasonable offers on items that have been listed for several months or longer. So, do not hesitate to make an offer if you have seen something on the list for a while that you can use in your collection or on the layout. Please note that I have continued discounts in many sections of the listing. This is our 11th year on the Internet and 17th year selling toys and trains. We want to hear from you and will continue to provide the same good service and value we have provided in the past. Our other site, "www.toysofthepast.com" has been on-line now for over four years. This is a "work in progress" and has taken the place of all of the toy listings on the "trainmarket.com" site. I have added more high quality and desirable items via purchase and from my personal holdings in the current catalog. Check it out! We have a direct link to the toy site from trainmarket and search capability has been established. Toys with pictures of each and a description in a catalog format is the layout utilized. The maintenance for this site will be labor intensive, so the offerings will have to be much more limited than those found on the trainmarket site. Please take a look and let me know what you think of our efforts. Constructive comments to improve the site are always welcome. Some trains and accessories will appear on the toy site as well. Please use the following address for all transactions: Vienna Station c/o Ray Ellen, 212 Walnut Lane N.W., Vienna, Virginia 22180 Thanks for doing business with us! Please let your friends know about us! I will provide special discounts to those customers who bring us new collectors who make a purchase. Remember, we are a "word of mouth" oriented business. This keeps overhead down which allows us to sell at the lowest prices possible. Problems with Internet e-mail filters have increased with efforts of services to control increasing spam. I now have a DSL connection to the Internet and my e-mail address is rayellen@verizon.net. Also, if you do not receive the regular notice of the new list, let me know about that as well. Feedback, even if you do not plan to make a purchase, will be helpful to me to determine the extent of the problems. I am trying to work through these problems, but I am very limited in my knowledge of computers. New lists will be placed on line around the 15th of each month if you encounter problems with the notice procedure.
